Hi, I’m Salman!
I am a Software Engineer and aspiring researcher dedicated to building intelligent systems that solve real-world problems. For the past three years, I have been working at Altersense Limited, where I have contributed to the development of production-grade ML pipelines, distributed architectures, and automation frameworks.
With a background in production-level engineering, I am now focusing my efforts on the research side of machine learning. My interests lie in visual understanding and learning-based methods, particularly in how we can make deep learning more robust and explainable when faced with noisy, real-world data. I am currently working on several research initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between high-performance engineering and state-of-the-art academic inquiry.
My academic journey began at BRAC University, where I was honored to be part of the Vice Chancellor’s List for academic excellence and received merit-based scholarships. My undergraduate thesis explored computer vision for intelligent transportation, which sparked my ongoing fascination with how machines perceive and interact with the physical world.
